The Lovejoy Wharf location in Boston just opened on March 20th, and it looks like it’s going to be another fun spot! This location features a full menu with dishes under $15, a specialty coffee bar, seasonal waterfront seating, and an on-site brewery for small batch experimental beers. Local musicians can contact the brewery if they are interested in playing a gig. Plus live music in the taproom on Thursdays and Fridays. While there’s not a full kitchen, they do serve some bar snacks, and there are food trucks on site almost daily, so you won’t go hungry. Mighty Squirrel Brewing also has a seasonal beer garden at Arsenal Yards in Watertown. In summer months, have your beer outside on the patio and bring your dog to the pet-friendly outdoor seating area. Night Shift Brewing was started by 3 homebrewing friends (Rob Burns, Mike OMara and Mike Oxton) who decided to transition their nightly skills into a day. I highly recommend a trip to the Everett location. The latest batch will soon be in distribution. Night Shift offers The 87 on tap year-round at their brewery in Everett and at their new location at Lovejoy Wharf in Boston. The beer's name references the brewery’s address at 87 Santilli Highway in Everett. Pairs well with spicy noodle dishes, grilled fish, or curry.įun fact: The 87 was not actually named for Gronk. ![]() At 8.0% ABV, this double IPA is pretty strong, but you wouldn't know it from the hoppy, crisp sweetness, with notes of mango, papaya, and candied peaches. The 87 received a 4.18 from Beer Advocate. We second that emotion, and have selected The 87 to highlight for this week's What's on Tap feature here at Up To Boston. Cheers to 9 amazing seasons for one incredible team.Ī post shared by Night Shift Brewing on at 11:01am PDT This next batch of The 87 is dedicated to the other "87" - Rob Gronkowski. ![]() Heroes get remembered, but legends never die.
